Conquest Brewery are currently producing two cask conditioned ales:- 'Black Death' - a 4.5 % ABV black porter originally produced for Whitby Goth Weekend. Has loads of licourice with a hint of chocolate and coffee. 'Whitby Whaler' - a 4.0 % ABV golden ale. Is a malty, citrus flavour with a not too intense bitter finish. Both of the above beers are permanently on sale at the Shambles in Whitby and have had other pubs take them as guest ales recently. These pubs include The Hart in Sandsend, The Station in Whitby and the Duke of Welllington in Danby. In the coming weeks the brewery will be producing a new 3.8 % blonde ale called 'Abbey Blonde'. They are just about to install a second fermenter and will double their capacity. Their aim is to appeal to local pubs with a selection of local ales.
